- subhepatic In anatomy and zoology: Of doubtful or disputed hepatic character, as a glandular tissue of some invertebrates, which resembles that of the liver.
- subhepatic Lying under the liver, on the ventral side of hepatic lobules; sublobular, as ramifications of the portal vein in the liver.
- subhepatic Situated beneath the hepatic region: specifically applied to an anterolateral division of the ventral surface of the carapace in brachyurous crustaceans. See Brachyura (with cut).
